We absolutely adore this healthier and way cuter version of kid-fave rice krispy squares. Swap out marshmallows with our protein-rich hemp hearts and peanut butter to keep your kiddo(s) full and strong all season long!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup Tiny Sprouts Hemp Hearts
3 1/2 cups rice krispy cereal
For reindeer decoration, you’ll need:
Candy eyes
Craft sticks or popsicle sticks
Red candy for the nose
Melted chocolate in piping bag
Directions:
- Prepare 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Melt coconut oil with peanut butter and honey in a medium sized saucepan set over medium heat. Stir until mixture is smooth and combined.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt, Tiny Sprouts hemp hearts and rice krispy cereal. Mix until combined.
- Using a spatula, evenly distribute cereal mixture into prepared dish. Place in fridge to chill for 10 minutes.
- Cut into rectangles for reindeer and carefully push sticks into the rectangles
- DECORATE!! Melt chocolate and then spoon into a plastic baggie. Cut a small hole in the corner of bag and to make antlers. Use a small dot of chocolate under the candy eyes and red candy nose to attach them to the rice krispy treat.
