Strawberry Banana Waffles (Gluten-free)

Light and fluffy these gluten free waffles will be a big hit with the whole family! Packed full of whole grains, chia seeds and fruit, they are a great way to start your little one's day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat flour (gluten free)
  • 1 cup unsweetened milk of choice 
  • 1.5 tbsp Tiny Sprouts Milled Chia Seed Booster
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 small ripe banana (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree (or mashed strawberries)
  • Optional - maple syrup! 

 

Directions

  1. Preheat waffle iron on the highest setting and spray with coconut oil spray.
  2. Add all the ingredients together into a large bowl and mix thoroughly
  3. Pour enough batter onto your waffle iron to fully cover the iron.
  4. Cook waffle batter on iron until set and slightly crispy and remove waffle onto cooling rack.
  5. Top with your little ones favorite toppings and enjoy!

 

Recipe Notes

  • Store leftover waffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Waffles can be frozen in the freezer for up to 1 month. Defrost for at least 30 mins before serving.
  • We do not recommend adding any sweetener (honey or maple syrup) for babies under the age of 24 months.
